D&AD Black Pencil 2014 for innovative train information system

Last thursday we were honoured by D&AD, not only with a Yellow Pencil, but also with a coveted Black Pencil for the real-time boarding information system we developed for NS Dutch Railways and ProRail in close co-operation with design research agency STBY.

The annual D&AD Awards are highly respected, and regarded as a major event in the world of design and advertising. Two kinds of awards are given out: A Yellow Pencil and a Black Pencil, in various categories ranging from environmental design and billboard adverts, to digital design and animation shorts. Black Pencils are given for outstanding work, and only a few of these are given out each year.
