ESPI Maker Days 2

biergarten makerdays presentations

After our pretty successful round one in Feburary, we all couldn’t wait for the next Maker Days. The project board was full of new ideas and projects we wanted to work on and of course we started on a Thursday again, with our traditional weekly breakfast.

We created digital projects, such as a cooking app, an ESPI online shop (which we might launch in the future), a developer tool called Snapface, a recruitment tool for our HR and many more exciting things (even an ESPI sound logo).
As a lot of people wanted a change from sitting behind the computer every day, there were a lot of analog projects too. A team of highly creative individuals went crazy with ESPI cushion decoration, including sound effects. We had people working on a board game called brande_ and also some service design projects, analyzing and improving the experience of our clients, coming to the office.

After two fun, and again surprisingly productive days we ended the experience with entertaining presentations and a tasty barbecue at a biergarten on Karl-Marx-Allee. It was only sunny for the first few minutes, but even the rain and clouds couldn’t destroy our good moods or prevent us from playing table tennis and enjoying ourselves.

At our group review last week it was clear that we all really loved these two days of intense work and play. There seems to be some room for improvement when it comes to the food, though.

Who knows, maybe next time we’ll have a cooking group?
