Company presentations often tell a one-sided, ‘us’-driven story. There is little real interaction with the target group. Office furnisher Ahrend know this could be done better. They asked us to develop a presentation space which communicates Ahrend’s vision of ‘working in the future’ to their b-to-b customers in a stimulating way.
Edenspiekermann designed a futuristic space that inspires customers, challenges them to exchange ideas, and persuades. It is based on a concept in which an illuminated table with a multi-touch screen, cleverly integrated audiovisual material (content), and sensory persuasion play key roles, all in an extraordinary space.
The visitor enters a space which appears at first to be peaceful and serene. However, the floor and walls respond quickly to his presence with colours, images and sound. The visitor is overwhelmed, seduced and swept along into the workspace of the future: the world of Ahrend. Then, an attractively-designed table with a multi-touch screen, called “the Well”, lights up in the middle of the space.
The Well contains a number of audiovisual presentations and aids. We adapt the content of existing PowerPoint presentations, films and animations and harmonise them. They deal with the themes that interest customers. They stimulate discussion and the asking of questions. Selecting different ‘backgrounds’ changes the decor so that visitors imagine themselves in particular environments, such as an office, a town square or a forest.
In this way, even the more inexperienced Ahrend ambassador can tell his story. And, at the same time, he has plenty of interaction with his audience. The multi-touch table provides him with everything he needs to give an exciting presentation. With the easy interface, the visitor can still find his way even if the Ahrend employee is not around.
The Ahrend futuristic space encourages fascinating dialogue and interaction. Customers are not made to listen to a ‘us’-driven story, but experience in an effective and adventurous way how Ahrend contributes positively to their own work and care environment.
Edenspiekermann developed the concept, designed the space and the navigation concept, helped develop the content and created the Ahrend brand movie.
