Eneco is the number one wind energy expert in the Netherlands and aims to make wind energy fun and attractive to a wide audience. A wind-themed website is part of a broader campaign in the autumn of 2009. It gives visitors the chance to discover everything about wind energy by providing interactive tools such as the decibel meter, the anemometer and ‘The Blaassum Wind Turbine’.

Blaassum is everywhere
By installing a wind turbine in Blaassum, a fictitious place in the Netherlands, where the inhabitants hold strong views for and against wind turbines, visitors discover that the construction of wind farms has advantages and disadvantages, and that Eneco carefully weighs different interests at all times.

Goals for the future
Supply 1.4 million households with sustainable energy by 2012 – half of which derived from wind energy.
