Meet Christoph Rauscher

Meet Christoph Cover

We all have certain things that we just don’t have any talent for, be it cooking, singing, crunching numbers or–in my case–drawing. And then, every once in a while, you meet someone with amazing skills in exactly that area and you're incredibly impressed, and just a little jealous.

Well, today we would like to introduce you to Christoph, one of our very talented designers and illustrators here at Edenspiekermann. We have asked him to give us a visual tour through his workspace and his working day. Welcome to our first ESPI photo expedition with Christoph.

Christoph, what does your desk usually look like?

And what about you, when you're being creative?

That seems to depend a lot on daily form...

Can we take a peek in your sketchbook?

What do you like the most about your colleagues at ESPI? I like the spontaneous creativity around the office. Everyone is fun and open-minded. We give each other space for creative weirdness, which is fantastic. Also, I love finding out about my colleague’s secret hobbies and backgrounds. We have former divers, ballroom dancers, race-car fans–it’s great to work with such a mixed group of people.

What do you like most about working at ESPI?

A people-orientated company culture is one of the most important things for me. I need that to get stuff done. Too many hierarchies and too much complaining I find distracting, and everyone here thinks like that. We always come up with new ideas to get inspired, share learnings and change things that bother us, and we’re given the space for it, too. Sometimes I just walk around the office to see what others are working on; they might have a funny story to tell or an interesting problem to solve. It’s very easy to learn in this office.

And finally, what's your secret weapon?
