Hello. We are Edenspiekermann, an independent, international Design Consultancy. With a team of around 100 people across our offices in Amsterdam, Berlin and Los Angeles, San Francisco including designers, strategists, consultants, researchers and makers from around 20 different nations/nationalities. We work with international clients like City of Santa Monica, The Economist, HamburgerHochbahn, unu Scooters, NanoScent, and Amsterdam Airport Schiphol.

How we work

We develop digital products or services with a user-centric approach and create value by advising and coaching our client’s teams to provide the best customer experience for their customers. We unlock business opportunities through venture design and technology. We combine conceptual thinking, a sophisticated understanding of design and a deep knowledge of web and app development to develop a digital product or service with a user-centric approach. Our interaction designers work in agile and interdisciplinary teams on websites and platforms for major brands as well as for startups.

About the Senior Business Development Manager position

We are looking for a Senior Business Development Manager who will help us drive our current growth path for our business. You are responsible for the strategic and operational business development at Edenspiekermann by analyzing opportunities and opening up new business areas. You will be strengthening and expanding our existing client relationships and responsible for nurturing our project pipeline converting leads into strong relationships.

Your responsibilities:

  • You identify, approach and convert leads into mutually successful business relationships
  • You fill our new business pipeline and manage the new business process from first contact to the kick-off workshop with our new clients
  • You identify, develop and implement new strategies and segments driving our business development
  • You work with our design directors and management to write exceptional proposals and pitch decks
  • You convert incoming leads into mutually successful business relationships
  • You maintain and improve our toolbox of sales and related marketing materials
  • You network at industry events and represent Edenspiekermann as one of the faces of the company

    Your experience:

    • You win hearts and minds with your excellent presentation, communication and negotiation skills
    • You have about 6 years of experience in business development and lead generation, preferably in a start-up, consulting world, venturing, design business
    • You have an understanding in data analysis and actionable reportings 
    • You have a proven sales track record
    • You have a great understanding of design and know the importance of a great user experience
    • You have the ability to articulate design and technical viewpoints to clients
    • You have skills and the passion for writing exceptional proposals and pitch decks driven by customer value 
    • You are fluent in German and English
