A Matter of Mentality to Make It a Reality

TomorrowToday Blog Cover

Thanks again to everyone who joined the fourth edition of our TomorrowToday sessions, held at Crazy Kitchen in Amsterdam on February 4th. A big thanks goes out to our special guests for sharing knowledge and insights on how to get the unthinkable done. Here’s what you may have missed:

1. How to flip a complete organizational culture within 2 years

David Linssen & Christa Bakker (Schiphol) shared their rocky road to success in pivoting Schiphol from a traditional project-oriented company to an agile, cross-disciplinary, customer oriented culture, and provided our guests with some very simple hands-on tips.

2. How to develop an unstoppable winning mentality

Tessa Knaven (HR consultant and former rower) and two rowing team members, Emma van Gerwen and Marita Kip, shared some great inspiration from a sports environment. They showed us how to build an Olympic rowing team with no rowing experience and get them prepared for the Olympics in 2020. One piece of advice (among many others) to organizations was that, to develop a winning mentality, you should start by having one clearly defined goal.

3. How to change the world

Jonne Kuyt (Creative Director Edenspiekermann) and Richard Horton (Editor-in-chief of The Lancet) offered thought-provoking insights on how to change the world by having an opinion as a brand. The new global campaign by The Lancet provided the perfect example.
