Student Visits: Inside the Agency

Last week, design students from the Studienstiftung des deutschen Volkes (which provides scholarships to students studying across Germany) came to visit our Berlin office, as well as a host of other Berlin-based creative studios, to learn about different modes of creativity. The students came to talk with Bastian, designer and a former recipient of the Studienstiftung scholarship.

Their focus was on “Arbeit gestalten”, or, in English, ways of working: how work is structured in a creative environment, different approaches, strategies, and what we here at Edenspiekermann have chosen as the most effective methods. Bastian also got to talk about the fun extras that make up part of our working culture, like his recent sabbatical, our weekly Brainfood, and our Maker Days. studienstiftung visit bastian presentation Bastian says: “The scholarship program, which I entered in 2011, really started a new chapter in my life; suddenly I was financially independent and could focus on my studies so much better. Besides the internal programs and great network, I got to experience the international exchange programs I’d always dreamed of. The Studienstiftung supported me during my year in Asia (Hong Kong and Tokyo) where I gained knowledge and a different perspective on the design discipline.”
