An extensive digital guide for South Tyrol


Geo Marketing, a start-up of 7 people, is owned by the publishing houses Athesia and Tappeiner and aims to take their legacy to the digital world: offering the tourism industry a new channel to communicate effectively with local and international target groups. The goal in South Tyrol: to establish the platform Sentres as an extensive digital guide for the region.

Edenspiekermann developed the new platform from scratch, teaming up with Geo Marketing, and was involved in every step of the process: from naming to branding, to product development, interaction design, prototyping, usability testing and user interface design for the website and iPhone app. We combined our expertise with Geo Marketing: a strong partnership to create an astute, content-driven product.

Now Sentres offers an extensive map to “explore the area”, including all hiking and bicycle tours, natural monuments and other points of interests. Alternatively you can browse through thousands of fantastic photographs to get a taste of South Tyrol before booking your trip through Sentres. To begin your journey helpful information about weather, avalanches and essential equipment is provided. “Mein Sentres” allows you to personalize the experience by saving your favorite tours and highlights in the “rucksack”. You can also rate tours and share things with friends. So, the result is a website for the region that attracts tourists and locals alike.
