A Great Story of Personal Branding

Now here's a great example of personal branding. One of our former design interns, Youssef Sarhan, who did an internship in our Amsterdam office in 2009 is making quite a name for himself on the interwebs.

Last month he started a Tumblr blog called Yo Zuck, Implement this. The name is, of course, a reference to Facebook-founder Mark Zuckerberg. On his blog, Youssef suggests a number of improvements to Facebook's user interface.

His on-going series of new concepts and ideas for the world's biggest social network includes enhanced anniversary reminders, improved event calendars and better notifications.

His ideas have attracted quite a few eyeballs, and even a phone call from Facebook HQ. Youssef hasn't disclosed why Facebook has been in touch, but who knows, he might one day end up in Silicon Valley...
