Please welcome: Axel and Mister K.

The new Erik Spiekermann typeface ‘Axel’ premieres at TYPO Berlin 2009. ‘Mister K.’ – a font designed by Julia Sysmäläinen – is wandering through the 14th international design conference in the form of different postcards.

While the new Spiekermann oeuvre ‘Axel’ is an economical, highly legible font family optimized for on-​screen use in office apps such as Microsoft Excel, Julia Sysmälainen renders homage to the famous Franz Kafka with her typeface ‘Mister K.’
